Quality . Consistency . Pride

Meet Mike Pusateri

Hello I’m Mike, of My Handyman Mike, L.L.C. I’ve been in the construction
industry for over thirty years. I began the journey as a commercial electrician at the age of twenty, and plied the electrical trade, both commercial and residential, for over fifteen years. In an effort to learn other trades I began working with other tradesman doing drywall installation and finishing, as well as painting. It seemed a natural fit since the two trades went together so nicely. After almost three years doing drywall and paint I decided to try my hand at flooring and began working with a close friend setting tile, and installing laminate flooring. It wasn’t long before I began doing property maintenance where I learned about plumbing. Seemed like most of the problems I ran across at that job were plumbing related, so I learned quickly the ins and outs of the plumbing trade. In 2006 I was introduced to a property investor who was looking for a tradesman to renovate his new acquisitions and maintain his portfolio of properties throughout the valley. It was my job to fix whatever was broken on his rentals and come up with ways to improve the new properties aesthetically while at the same time sticking to a budget. It was challenging and rewarding both physically and financially. A couple years ago I went to school to learn air conditioning and refrigeration, and with my electrical background I caught on quickly. I can’t say I’ve done a lot of A/C work over the years, but when I do, I get the job done. I’ve always loved working with my hands and found I’m good at it. I love the process. The way a vision comes to fruition. There is nothing like the feeling of drawing up a plan for a customer and then building it for them. The look on their face and the gratitude they express is almost as good if not better than the financial gain I get when I complete a project. I’ve been told I have a great creative vision, an ability to envision how a place can be transformed into a work of art. I often see things even a property owner doesn’t see a special something that will give a customer that wow moment. It’s a great feeling. Consulting is a large part of any project, because it’s important that I as a builder understand what each individual is looking for and give it to them plus so much more. My goal is to always exceed expectations. If my clients are not 100% satisfied then I’ve failed.
